Role: Project Manager required to manage a Design & Build project within the Central South, with several new projects to £20m due to commence, your responsibilities will include complete project supervision from pre-construction or contract award, you will lead and motivate the project team to deliver the project,
within programme and budget, whilst ensuring that quality and health & safety are a primary focus, additionally you will liaise with clients and their consultants to ensure the project runs smoothly and develop a client focused approach.
Requirements: Experience required upon general construction projects of £10m+, you should have a proven track record of successfully managing projects; for the long term you should be comfortable working on either new build D&B or refurbishment projects. The successful candidate will need to be motivated, have strong leadership qualities with drive, enthusiasm and ambition to succeed.

The Person:
*Extensive experience in design of coastal or marine based developments such as harbours, jetties, quay walls, sea walls, breakwaters, groynes and marinas.
*The ideal candidate will have excellent skills in negotiation and diplomacy in order to get cooperation from the relevant parties.
*You will be hands on and have experience in working on large scale projects and also on water based projects. You will be able to solve complex problems by coming up with solutions that apply the best international practice.
*You will have a good understanding of property development and the logistics associated with maritime projects such as movement or people, goods and ships.
*You will know how to run a circular quay and have good vision to see how a development will look in the future.
*You will have a civil engineering degree from a reputable organisation.
*Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in managing port or harbour operations, in particular the movement of people and vessels.
Role/Responsibilities:
*The Infrastructure and Logistics Operations Engineer will play a key role in the project. It will require providing technical advice on the planning and development of the systems of the necessary infrastructure and facilities. You will be responsible for the following areas:
*Plan and develop the strategies and systems for providing the necessary operating services such as waste management, fuel storage, movement of people, supplies and freight.
*Provide technical assistance and support to The World Islands Project Management team in development logistics, civil engineering and facilities design.
*Provide professional support for statutory approvals required for the World islands development.
*Consult on the planning and directing of operations and maintenance activities for the Community area civil infrastructure and facilities.
*Assist with the procurement of goods and services (RFQs and bid assessment)
*Undertake research and prepare reports into engineering, environmental and servicing issues at the World islands from operational perspectives.
*Responsible for the implementation and enforcement of workplace health and safety procedures and emergency procedures at project sites including pollution control.
