Description:
A major civil engineering contractor requires 2 setting out engineers to join its South West and Wales team.A major civil engineering contractor requires two setting out engineers to join its South West and Wales team.
Candidates will be proficient with all types of instruments and familiar with AutoCad and setting out software. You should ideally have civils site experience with a main contractor, be accurate at setting out and have knowledge of NEC and ICE contracts.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Manipulation of electronic setting out information and download to instruments.
Producing permits to dig.
Producing site sketches.
Raising technical queries and keeping accurate records.
Keeping records and logs as instructed/requested by the Site Agent.
To manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents of the project.
Maintain drawing register.
Produce detailed inspection requests.
Assist with labour and plant outputs.
Highlight value engineering solutions and potential engineering risks.
Responsible for working within the BMS, HSQE, CSR guidelines and promote on all projects.
Current projects are located in New Tredegar and Weston-Super-Mare.
