Description:
Civil engineering firm requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its South Western team.A major civil engineering firm requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its South Western team.
The ideal candidate will be capable of handling all the commercial and contractual aspects of a single contract (or group of contracts) of typically £1m turnover a month or up to the value of £10m. Candidates should have experience of working for a main contractor on major roads, bridge structures and highways contracts.
The SQS's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Full cradle to grave account management of a wide variety of sub-contracts, including bespoke packages.
Lead Client negotiation on commercial and contractual matters.
Compilation of CV and forecast reports on the performance of contracts.
Compile, submit and agree the varied financial effects of variations, including identifying and developing submissions for the financial effects of prolongation and disruption issues.
Compile, submit, substantiate and agree main account final accounts.
Ensure accurate record keeping is maintained by the site team.
Responsible for working with the BMS, HSQE, CSR guidelines and promote on all projects.
You will be based out of either the Bristol, Gloucester, Cardiff or Birmingham office and will be required to travel up to one hour from the office.
